To kick off our 4th of July weekend we went to the hot air balloons on Friday morning. Kaitlyn would just sit and stare at all the commotion going on in front of her. We were right next to the Bank of American Fork piggy bank balloon as it was being inflated..JPG)
We lit sparklers while waiting for the fireworks to start. Kaitlyn kept trying to grab the them. I didn't dare let her hold them for fear she would grab at the ends but she seemed to really like them. When the big fireworks started she sat as still as a mouse in my lap. I thought she might be asleep but found her wide eyed and staring into the night sky. She gave it up just before the grand finale.
We attempted to go to the parade Saturday morning but couldn't find a place to stand let alone sit, so luckily for us my sisters salon is right on University Avenue so we sat in an airconditioned building watching from a big picture window as the parade passed by.
