Sunday Drive

We decided to go for a ride up American Fork Canyon on Sunday. My hope was to be able to drive over to Cascade Springs and wander around for a bit. So we loaded up the diaper bag and stroller in the jeep and headed out. We thought we were in the clear until we hit the road closed gate just above the look out. So we turned around and headed back to Tibble Fork and started up the dirt road. We soon bounced Kaitlyn to sleep. We stopped where the road crosses over the American Fork river and got out for lunch. The stroller makes a good hi-chair for feeding.

Dad was feeling left out with all the pictures of Kaitlyn on the blog so we made sure to get some of him and Kaitlyn. This was taken where we stopped for lunch at. I wished the camera had a wider view so you could see how beautiful it was up there.

We continued up the road until we came to a bend that was still shaded by the pines and had several feet of snow. We put it in 4x4 and made it a little farther but alas had to turn around and head back the way we came. We stopped again and used the spare tire as a tripod for the camera to get a family picture. Too bad Kaitlyn was looking at the ground!! We never did make it to Cascade Springs. I found out later that they opened the gate on the paved road the next day!!
